Terms and Conditions Bookings: A Booking with Retro Camper Limited is only complete when a reservation is made online or by email with a full payment or deposit payment and all documentation is received. Bookings must be paid in full where a booking is thirty days or less from the rental date or a part payment non refundable deposit of €300 can be made to secure your rental and full payment of balance will be due 30 days prior to rental date. Booking deposits are non transferable to alternative dates.The Hirer will receive a confirmation email containing rental and deposit details.We accept Credit / Debit Card payments though PayPal, Bank Drafts, Bank Transfers. Retro Camper reserves the right to refuse to hire to any person, without stating cause. Renting Period: Minimum Rental period is 4 Days, rates can vary, check our website for up to date rates and special offers. Some campers in high Summer period will only be available to hire out for a minimum of one week. Collection times are strictly after 2pm on the first day of rental and return no later than 10am on the final day of rental. In case of return of vehicle before the agreed return date, no refund will be made. No extension of the rental period can be made without the prior approval of Retro Camper. In the case that the hirer does not return the vehicle on the agreed date, Retro Camper can undertake official procedures for vehicle stealing or confidence abuse.The vehicle must be returned at the agreed time made between Retro Camper and the Hirer. A penalty of €50 per hour shall be incurred by the hirer if late returned and a €250 will be incurred by the Hirer for every day the vehicle is not returned. Security Deposit: A security deposit of €600 is required for each rental by cash or credit card. Deposits will be refunded no less than seven days after rental is completed.Deposits are fully refunded on the return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date and time, in the same condition as it was let out, upon return a Retro Camper representative will check the campervan for damage, cleanliness, a full tank of fuel, condition of the tyres, windscreen, bumpers, roof lights, mirrors, doors and internal habitation equipment and including no damage to the vehicle or a third party. The hirer is repsonsible for additional charges incurred including traffic law violations, road toll fines and malfunction, breakdowns or repairs caused by negligence of the hirer. The hirer is required to check the water and oil levels in the engine and tyre pressure at regular intervals. The hirer agrees to pay Retro Camper any additional costs over and above the security deposit value. There is no smoking allowed in any of our campers. A Fine of €75 will be incured by the hirer if extra cleaning is required to upholstery or smoke damage or any other interior or exterior damamge to make good. Insurance: Fully Comprehensible insurance is covered in your rental cost. Drivers must hold a valid Irish, UK or EU Driving License for over 2 years and must be between the ages of 23 – 75. One additional driver can be included at an extra cost of €15 per Day. The area for hire must remain within Ireland and Northern Ireland. Please produce a valid driver’s license at start of hire.Drivers are personally liable for all legal penalties (parking fines / speeding fines) which are incurred during the period of rental.Drivers must provide three separate forms of identification including a drivers license andProof of address by way of a utility bill or bank statement. Both address on Drivers License and utility bill must match if not, another form of ID is required.The hirer is insured for damage to the campervan and property of a third party. In the event of any damage to the vehicle the Hirer will be responsible for the insurance excess of €1500 per case not rental. Driving by an unauthorized driver invalidates insurance.The theft of a campervan is not covered by insurance if the keys are left in the ignition or the surrounds of the vehicle while the vehicle is unoccupied and the hirer will be responsible for the full cost of a replacement vehicle.The hirer is responsible for the following items not included in Retro Camper insurance:Windscreen & Tyre Damage, Loss, damage or theft of stereo / aerials, or personal effects within or from the vehicle.In respect of an accident please inform Retro Camper Immediately, Note name and address, certificate of insurance, registration and names and addresses of any witnesses present. Inform the Garda (www.garda.ie) and obtain an incident number. Cancellations: Retro Camper reserves the right to cancel a reservation at the proposed commencement of hire if: Required Documents are not produced or valid in accordance with stated conditions, failure to provide funds for security deposit, over occupancy of the vehicle, address does not match the address on drivers license and passport. Retro Camper reserves the right to refuse to hire to any person, without stating cause. Cancellation refunds do not include booking deposits. If cancellation occurs less than 6weeks prior to departure date payments are non refundable. Cancellations need to be made in writing. If cancellation occurs between 6 weeks and 12 weeks a 50% refund can apply (not including the non refundable booking deposit of €300). If cancellation occurs between 12 weeks or more a 100% refund will be made but (not including the non refundable booking deposit of €300). Credit and debit card charges or bank fees are non refundable. It is advisable to purchase holiday cancellation insurance. Bookings are considered definative after payment of deposit is received. Availability / Choice of Camper Van: Retro Camper shall make every effort to ensure that the vehicle reserved by the hirer is available for the agreed rental. If, for any reason it is not available we reserve the right to make another vehicle available without extra cost. If this is not acceptable to the hirer or another vehicle proves unobtainable our liability is limited to the refund on any money paid to Retro Camper by the hirer. Breakdowns: Contact Retro Camper first in case of breakdowns.Included in your rental is AA 24 hour rescue service. In the rare case of a breakdown that cannot be repaired by AA cover will tow the vehicle to the nearest garage for assesment. Retro Camper have a replacement campervan reserved but can only be offered subject to availability. Retro Camper cannot accept liability for any costs arising from an accident, breakdown or any other cause, example replacement vehicle costs, travel, accomodation. Retro Campers liability extends to either replacing your camper with a similar one, or refunding your hire charge for any days the hirer loses throughout the total use of the vehicle. Depending on circumstances, Retro Camper will reserve the right not to replace the vehicle. The breakdown or malfunction of equipment or camper after the campervan has left our premises will not be accepted as reason to abort or cancel the Rental Agreement, and any such fault will be rectified as soon as possible.
