The town of Aldeburgh itself is charming, with plenty of eateries and a cinema that has been screening films since 1919. Further afield there’s a country club at Thorpeness that offers children’s activities during the summer. The Meare in Thorpeness was inspired by Peter Pan author, J M Barrie, and is a fantastic water wonderland. There are boats to hire and Peter Pan inspired references to spot.
